On a beautifully clear September 11th morning, much like the one sixteen years ago, the UNLV College Republicans hosted a solemn memorial ceremony honoring all who were killed during the attack upon our country in 2001.
Jacob Deaville opened the ceremony, calling upon the UNLV ROTC Color Guard to post the Colors after which all in attendance stood for the playing of the National Anthem. Jim Small, candidate for NV State Assembly District 2, and Danny Tarkanian, candidate for U.S. Senate, delivered brief remarks.
The College Republicans and volunteers planted a flag for every life lost on 9/11, to include UNLV graduate LTC Karen J. Wagner, a Medical Service Corps officer, who was killed in the Pentagon.
