On Tuesday September 18, 2017, our Publisher Su Phelps was invited to attend the 3rd Annual Nevada Economic Development Conference and awards ceremony of the Western Nevada Development District. Awards were issued to communities based on, big city, small city, and population. Art Rangell, is the awards committee chairman, along with a jury that assessed the economic development of the different cities in Nevada, based on the 9 different categories. The winners are as follows, based on population:
Less than 15,000 for Social Media Campaign/Website Winner- the city of Fallon
15,001-40,000 for Marketing Campaign winner- the city of Mesquite
For Social Media Campaign/Website Winner- North Lake Tahoe
40,001-100,000 for Multimedia/Video Promotion Winner- Douglas County
Over 100,000 for Print Brochure/Newsletter- Reno, Sparks, Tahoe
