On Labor Day some of the members of The American Legion Riders and ALR Chapter 31 set forth on a 33 day, 28 states, and 10,000 mile ride from Marina CA to raise awareness and much needed funding for the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery. The three riders Hy “Crash” Libby, Rick “Phin” Phinney and Steve “Pops” Culver arrived in Las Vegas on October 4th on their last leg of the ride. Ted Carman the Adjacent of Chapter 8 and 7 others here in Las Vegas met them in Kingman and escorted them to the post for some relaxation and to spend the night at Ted’s place. Ted also planned on riding with them to Barstow the next day. He was thankful for these 3 men and their dedication to the cause.
