Vintage Motorcycle to be Raffled to Benefit Military/Veteran Charities
The American Patriot Fest and Las Vegas’ own, Steve Darnell, the owner of Welder Up and star of the hit TV show Vegas Rat Rods, have joined forces to help military and veteran charities in the Las Vegas Valley. A vintage motorcycle customized by Darnell will be raffled with proceeds benefiting nonprofit organizations.
The big reveal will be take place at a special event at Henderson Harley-Davidson on Wednesday, May 9. The event is free to attend and will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., closing with the departure of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT), a Vietnam Memorial Wall, escort. The escort will end at Craig Ranch Regional Park where the AVTT will be on display 24 hours a day from May 10-13.
The prize motorcycle also will be on display during American Patriot Fest, Saturday, May 12 at Craig Ranch Regional Park from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event offers free admission, live music, a major car show, military displays, burger eating contest, kids zone and more.
Funds raised through ticket sales, benefit several local non-profit charities including, 22 Warriors, Nation of Patriots, Shine Family Foundation, Nellis Support Team and Veterans of Foreign War Post 10047. These charities support a variety of critical military and veteran causes from wounded troops, suicide prevention and support of families in need. 100% of sales will be donated back to the charities. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each through these charitable organizations and at American Patriot Fest. Drawing will be held Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at the POW/MIA Ceremony and Dinner at the VFW Post. Winner does not need to be present to win.
