The mission of the Nevada Women’s Business Center/Nevada Business Opportunity Fund is to enhance the economic self-sufficiency and quality of life of low and moderate-income individuals through entrepreneurial training, technical assistance and access to loans for new and expanding businesses throughout Nevada.
We are proud to announce that our agency is now a collaborative partner of the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce, ‘The Business Voice of Armed Forces Members.’
Established in 2017, the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce, Inc., a 501(c)(6) charitable organization, is Nevada’s only Incorporated and Active Chamber of Commerce that serves Armed Forces members. The Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce is ’The Business Voice of Armed Forces members’ and its mission is to Advocate, Empower and Partner with businesses owned by Armed Forces members. Eligible members include: U.S. active duty, guard, reserve, retirees, veterans and immediate family members of eligible military personnel representing the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy. Additional eligible members include First Responders representing Fire, Medical and Police.
As collaborative partners, the NWBC will co-present with the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce to provide a variety of entrepreneurial workshops for start-up and established businesses. The purpose of the workshops is to provide business education and resources for Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce members, including men and women. Admission will be complimentary for Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce members. The workshops will include topics:
- Banking & Business Credit
- Business Plans & Legal Structure
- Funding & Government Contracts
- Human Resources & Business Insurance
- Intellectual Properties & Small Business Law
- Licensing, Marketing & Promotions and much more.
