Thanks to Congresswoman Dina Titus, a half-dozen Las Vegas high school seniors are enthusiastically packing their bags as they prepare to leave shortly for two of the country’s five United States military academies. Congresswoman Titus, who nominated the six for respective appointments to the United States Naval Academy and the United States Air Force Academy, personally wished them well at a recent send-off that included the students’ proud parents.
The students will report to their institutions in the next few weeks. Robert “Bobby” Reiter, son of a career Navy pilot, is headed for the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, while Alexandria Ceballos, a golf and track and field standout from the Southeast Career Technical Academy, will enter the Naval Academy’s Preparatory School. Three of the Las Vegas youths are on their way to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ethan Lukow will join his older brother as a cadet there. Sebastion Crawford from Rancho High School, and Christian Marshall from Faith Lutheran will also enter the class of 2022. Micah Tice, a Rancho graduate and a member of the Air Force Reserves, will report to the Air Force Academy’s Preparatory School.
“They will do Nevada proud,” said Titus.
