GEORGE WASHINGTON BIRTHDAY DINNER

George Washington Birthday Dinner was held on February 17th at the Las Vegas National Golf Club. Donald Hotchkiss, President, Signers Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, called the meeting to order and was the emcee of the evening.

National “Spirit of 1812” Award was presented to Dr. Linda Miller by Rebecca Eisenman, President of Nevada State Society, U.S.D. 1812

Guest Speaker was Stan Vaughan, Author, who spoke about “George Washington and the Bill of Rights”. Stan Vaughan is an award-winning author of several books and world chess champion. He was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in 1989. He is descended from a Patriot of the American Revolution and a Confederate Veteran of the War Between the States.

Ken Hill and Janet Snyder were dressed as George and Martha Washington. Ken is a WWII veteran and member of Sons of Union Veterans. Janet is a Vietnam widow and member of Silver State Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.

This annual event was held at the Las Vegas National Golf Club on February 17. This year’s event was hosted by the Signers Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution, and the U.S. Daughters of 1812.
