The inaugural Harvest Bike & Cage Run was held September 23, 2017 at the Leatherneck Club here in Las Vegas.  It was hosted by Life After Active Duty, and Welcome home Troops.

Welcome Home Troops liaison Leo Garcia explained that the organization, which was founded by Sue Rebar and is based in Indiana.  Their program is healing through play and healing through honor to reaclimate military troops when they get back from overseas. They help provide entertainment for the military member and their families.  One event they host is the NASCAR event which will allow a family of 4 to go to NASCAR and enjoy the entertainment. They also help with the healing process with vets and PPSD rehabilitation.

The ride started at the club and included a stop in the southwest valley and through Pahrump to Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch in Crystal, NV.  They had a bar-b-q, raffle and 50/50 drawings.

At the event Townsley Portraits, owner Stuart Townsley and his assistant Kyle Cortez had a booth which for a $99.00 donation they would get a bottle of wine and a $600.00 gift certificate and one lucky person had a chance to win $1,000.00 gift certificate.
