Henderson Veterans Treatment Court Graduation was held on March 15th. There were 4 graduates, two of the four are Jennifer Buergey and Adam Jacobsen. They each told of their experiences and how, if it wasn’t for the court mentors headed by Mike Blanchard, Judge Mark Stevens and the staff, they would never had made it through the program. Mike Blanchard praised the mentor volunteers on the endless job that they do and how they are there for the Veterans in the program. The Defense attorneys that volunteer their services are Kenneth Roberts (Lt Col. USAF Retired), Bob Zentz and Steve Swinton and Prosecuting Attorney is Assistant City Attorney of Henderson, Brian Reardon.
Victor Ross from Senator Cortez Masto’s office and Bruno Moya from Senator Heller’s office handed out the certificates of completion. The speaker of the event was Mentor Barney Wintermute who spoke about perseverance and he told the graduates that after all they have been through “IT WILL ALL BE OKAY”.
