On April 24 we went to the Award Presentations for JROTC at Cheyenne High School in Las Vegas; presentation of Colors and National Anthem, film honoring the students. Ken was honored and respected as a 93 years young WWII Veteran and Grandson of a Veteran of the Civil War, receiving a standing ovation from everyone in the audience (family, friends, colleagues, students and faculty). He presented a certificate and medal to an outstanding cadet from the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

It was our desire to honor these outstanding students who will be the next military leaders. They honored us by taking our photos and wanting photos with us, shaking our hands. It was a wonderful and memorable evening.
