In Loving Memory-Maj Stephen “Cajun” Del Bagno 1630 Ceremony,

A totally filled Thunderbird Hanger, Thunderbird Color Guard, to honor Major Stephen “Cajun” Del Bagno on April 11th, 2018. The Thunderbird pilot was killed in an accident at Nellis Airforce Base on April 4th.

Speeches by each Thunderbird Officer, remembering Cajun. Meritorious Medal presented Posthumously.

Cajuns Father Big Joe Del Bagno-extemporaneously- thanked the team and Air Force for selecting his Son for the Team. He cited the famous good will of the team in making America proud of all Servicemen/Women, our Air Force and his love of aviation.

Navy Blue Angels attended as fellow Demonstration Teammates! and Thunderbirds gave gifts to Del Bagno family. Patriotic, Memorable, Poignant, Uplifting—ended by Mr. Bill Dunn singing “Amazing Grace”, Thunderbird Roll Call with #4 Missing, Taps played, then Thunderbirds Gifts were presented, followed by EVERY THUNDERBIRD (over 110 Members) exiting while touching Cajuns Flight Suite on the floral tribute table as they departed!!! Not a Dry Eye in the House!!! A Celebration of Life/Memorial of incredible Distinction!
