On February 22, MOAA held their monthly dinner at Palace Station. The speaker for the evening was Jacklyn (JAX) Scott, Owner and CEO of Outpost Gray. She spoke on being one of the First Special Operations Women and her experiences in Afghanistan. She was on the cultural support team and one of the first women to be selected to the Armed Ranger School. In 2015 she left the Active duty and started Outpost Gray. She explained Outpost Gray, a defense contracted firm which hires an elite group of men and women from the Special Operations Forces that go into the Gray Zones to combat terrorism, illegal drug trade, and human trafficking. MOAA President John Mentor presented JAX a Certificate of Appreciation for all her accomplishments and her service to the country.
