Third Year Kickoff Event for The Nevada Veterans Council was held on February 15 at the Grant Sawyer building, USMC LT General Emil Bedard was the main quest speaker. They spoke on how the Veterans in politics are working hard to restore Veterans benefits and how they plan to continue to better the lives for the Veterans, and how they are working on getting the youth more interested in the problems going on around the US.

LT General Bedard also commented on the urgency of the Veterans to start participating with the Representatives to ensure the progress of these benefits and hopes that they will get more involved. He also talked about the Constitution and how it is designed for the security of this great country and how we need to live by and adhere by it.

There was a great show by the “Sin City Spinners” drill team and the Scottish American Veterans performed for the presentation of the colors by Sierra Vista High School ROTC.
