Membership has increased in the American Legion Post 76 radio club since advertising in the Veterans Reporter News The club was formed by those members interested in Amateur Radio and to support veteran outreach programs. Plans are to build a HF/VHF/UHF radio room to augment transitioning Veterans.
Future plans include; licensing classes, emergency communications, disaster preparedness and support for natural and manmade disasters. The club is open to any legionnaire, it does not require a post change, you may remain with your current post. The only requirement is a Ham License or the desire to obtain a license.
Please pass the Veteran Reporter News on to anyone who is interested in Ham Radio. We need donations if you have old equipment stored in the closet, we can use it. We also need expertise, come on out and help a fellow veteran.
