Rock the Troops #14

American Legion Post 149 held its Annual “Rock the Troops” poker run fundraiser on April 7th 2018 at the Leatherneck Club 4360 Spring Mountain Rd. Commander Gomez (Army) said “This event averages around 300 riders and this year will be no different.” The riders start at the Club, they have five stops and return to the club, where they enjoyed lunch hosted by Road Kill Grill and listened to the unique sound of Born in Black Snakes Band. The proceeds of this event goes to help in the Legacy Scholarship program, Fisher House and to help sponsor boys and girls state. They had raffles, presentations to the high hand, and welcome homes to the Vietnam Veterans that attended. Some of the people that attended came all the way from Portland, Oregan, Bill Foster has been coming for a few years and has a great time. If he wins any of the raffles or anything he donates it back to the group. Also, the Lady riders were there in full force, The BLING Devas group Founder and President Dazzlin explained what BLING LIFE is- B- is for being Beautiful inside and out, L- is for Loyalty, I- is integrity, N- is for NO DRAMA, and G-is for giving back to the community they ride in.
