The installation of the new officers for the Society of Military Widows was held on March 11th at Marie Calendars on Sahara. The new officers are, Chaplain: Kym Ennis, Treasurer: Babette Kellner, Vice President: Alberta Elliott, and President: Su Phelps.
The guest speaker was Cassandra Cotton from Nathan Adelson Hospice who explained what they do and answered questions regarding care and criteria for Hospice stay. Also, at the luncheon were representatives from Senator Catherine Cortez Masto’s office Victor Ross, Congresswoman Dina Titus’s Office, Hunter Cain, Dr. Arnold Stalk founder of Veterans Village. He explained all of the happenings at the Villages and some of their future plans. Derek Uehara candidate for State Treasure told of a program that is available to Military personnel that some may not know about and how he wants to make sure that the programs for the Military become public knowledge. Also, present was Mike Colian representing Victoria Seaman and Jim Small representing himself for Assemblyman.
