LAS VEGAS – Tuesday, Jan. 23, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hosted military leaders and various veteran organizations for a year in review of the resort’s Supporting Our Veterans program. Held inside the Rose. Rabbit. Lie. Ballroom, the celebratory event featured a preview of how the resort will continue to support the veteran community and military families throughout 2018.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ Chief Executive Officer, Bill McBeath, kicked off the event with welcoming remarks, followed by a captivating performance by violinist Lucine Fyleon. Michael McDermott, advisor with The Blackstone Group; Lori Calderon, Director of Talent Acquisition at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; and Daniel Espino, Chief People Officer at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, each discussed the positive impact the program has on not only the resort but the community as a whole. The event concluded with its first ever Supporting Our Veterans award ceremony.
The Cosmopolitan has made veteran affairs a top priority through various events and accolades including the announcement of The U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success program, becoming a Green Zone Employer, hosting an annual Supporting Our Veterans Career Fair, as well as being presented the Seven Seals Award by Employer Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
