The Las Vegas 51s honored our Local Veterans on Friday May 25th at Cashman Field with Military Appreciation Night. Outside Cashman Field there were tables from different branches of the service. One of the displays was the National Guard MQ-1 Predator unmanned aircraft system, the servicemen explained how it works. Another was the Coast Guard Auxiliary Commander Dr. Michelle Binkowski-Keller explaining about boating safety.

The 51’s hosted the Tacoma Rainiers. Dayna Roselli from KTNV TV introduced the gentleman who would throw out the first pitch, Army Sgt. Roger Bain, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII, at age 93 he is still a frisky as ever threw the pitch pride. Other members of the service also threw a starting pitch in honor of Memorial Day

The Tacoma Rainiers won the game 8-6 and it was a great night in appreciation of all the men and women that serve in the Arm Forces and their families.
