On Thursday, May 10, at Touro University, Henderson, Nevada Dr. Jason T. Eberl, Professor of Health Care Ethics at Albert Gnaegi Center for Health Care Ethics at Saint Louis University, discussed the definition of the end of life, the needs of the dying, and the current debate on euthanasia. The presentation discussed current debates concerning how a human being’s death is defined and clinically determined, as well as how a dying person ought to be cared for. Views concerning who counts as a “person” were examined in light of Catholic philosophical anthropology.
