Veterans Recognized For Military Service At Popular Networking Event

On Wednesday-May 30th, more than 300 persons gathered together to recognize U.S. veterans for their military service in honor of Memorial Day. The 2nd Annual Memorial Day Tribute Celebration was hosted by Cosmopolitan Connections and the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce at Libre Mexican Cantina inside Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa. Special guests included Yvette Auger- Owner of Cosmopolitan Connections, Andre’ Haynes-Founder and President Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce, Nicole Duffel-Ms. Elite Endeavor America 2018, Rheda K. Fisher-Mrs. Endeavor Nevada 2018, Deanne O’Rear-Cameron-Lady Endeavor Nevada 2018, Anthem Jazz Dancers, Richard Knapp-EMMY winning film producer and Sythe Cameron-award winning entertainer. Lena Ocasio, an Air Force veteran and member of the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce, presented Certificates of Appreciation to veterans in attendance. During the event everyone sang Happy Birthday to Evelyn Cannestra who celebrated her 89th birthday.

Established in 2017, the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce, Inc., ‘The Business Voice of Armed Forces Members’ is Nevada’s only incorporated and active Chamber of Commerce that serves Armed Forces members. The mission of the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce is to Advocate, Empower and Partner with Armed Forces member-owned businesses. Qualified members include Armed Forces members from all U.S. branches including active-duty, guard/reserve, retired and veterans with a honorable discharge, plus spouses; Veteran Service Organizations; First Responders from fire, law enforcement and medical departments; and advocates. The Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) Nevada charity.
