On December 2nd, the members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 14 met for a meeting, refreshments and holiday celebration at the Oakmont Assisted Living Center in Las Vegas. We were shown the wall of photos and memorabilia of veterans who were or are currently residents. Boots, shoes and belts were collected for a fundraiser; reports were given about Junior activities, Veterans Day Parade, plus many charitable deeds in the veteran community. There was a raffle and gift exchange. We also met and talked with a Vietnam Veteran who is a resident. We were shown the wall of photos and memorabilia of veterans who were or are currently residents.
