The Bridge at Paradise Valley is always buzzing with activities throughout the day to entertain and “ensure socialization and overall well-being” to all their residents or for some events; anyone nearby and free. The events range from card games and daily bingo to luncheons with keynote speakers.
This month, their event calendar included a Hot August Nights Car Show on August 2nd that included Thunderbirds, a Pontiac and 1950s Chevy trucks. Water bottles and food was served to guests. Martin Mancuso performed the saxophone under the patio shade for those wanting to get away from the weather.
On the August 7th, they hosted their Monthly Veterans Luncheon, lunch is served free to any military spouses or veterans (more than half of the bridge residents are veterans or military spouses.). Included in the event is a veteran-related keynote speaker every month. This month, up the stage was Sherlann Moore, who spoke about her experience being a part of the Iraqi War, her brain injury and how she overcame it to become an inventor, award-winning writer and screenwriter.
