The Devil Pups kids and Founder/CEO of Youth Leadership Authority, Marie Tomao are back again this year with their annual fundraiser for Youth Leadership Authority (YLA) at Hash House a Go Go in Henderson. This year the event was on evening of July 12th. Many of the guests were invited from the Henderson city offices including: Mayor March, Councilwoman Romero, Henderson City Manager Richard Derrick and Representative of Congresswoman Susie Lee Jahaira Farias. The silent auction with donated prizes such as winery tasting tours, a Dale Carnagey set of books and Starbucks gift baskets.
On the microphone, Founder Marie Tomao, thanked and recognized the first responders, city officials, veteran, military and her friends in the audience. She then tells her story on how she founded YLA, “I’ve been a volunteer of this for 6 years, Why? Because the kids need it.”
