On Memorial Day (Monday, May 27th), Bunkers Mortuaries, Cemeteries & Crematory hosted their own Memorial Day celebration at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Master of Ceremonies was Larry Davis, Managing partner of Bunkers Mortuaries, Cemeteries & Crematory. Many local veterans’ organizations such as American Legion Post 149 members attended. Congresswoman Dina Titus and Congressman Steven Horsford gave memorial remarks at the ceremony, Congresswoman Dina Titus said, “In just a few weeks we’re gonna be celebrating the anniversary landing of D-day. We want to make sure that future generations never forget and remember to say thank you to all of you for your service and sacrifice.”
“Today is a day for each of us to reflect on our history, the importance of those who continue to serve and the ones who fight for our liberty, our freedom and the ideals we hold as Americans.” Said Congressman Steven Horsford. Also in attendance to give Memorial remarks were Mayor Carolyn Goodman, Commissioner Michael Naft and Dane Hudson Representative of Congresswoman Jacky Rosen. Association of the United States Army (AUSA) presented a wreath.
