On September 19th evening the Southern Nevada Chapter of Military Officers Association of America (SNMOAA) Chapter has their Hawaiian luau dinner party. Every year SNMOAA members and guests dress in Hawaiian clothes and enjoy food and music at Palace Station Hotel poolside. SNMOAA also celebrated honorary member’s World War II veteran Ken Hill’s 95th birthday. All the family members from Ken’s family came to celebrate along with the members. President of SNMOAA Swannie Swenson says, “This is MOAA’s once a year event and it’s so special we’re celebrating a 95-year-old WWII veteran’s birthday and also a pioneer founding member in education for college of southern Nevada. He spent his whole life in education to build Nevada’s present education system”
