On Nov 9th, 2018, we attended the Veterans Day Dinner with the Association of the United States Army Las Vegas-John C. Fremont Chapter. After Posting of the Colors by UNLV ROTC Cadets, Invocation, National Anthem, Opening Remarks, Kenneth Hill gave the Toast to the Commander In Chief, followed by Salutes to the Military Branches. We watched a video commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. After dinner Kenneth Hill, Tech 5 US Army Quartermaster Corps, spoke about his experiences in WWII and what he accomplished after the war. Ken was given a beautiful eagle award by MAJ Jerry Morris, AUSA Nevada State President. Second speaker was Lee Mowery, SSG US Air Force, spoke about his experiences in the Korean War. The evening ended with closing remarks by MAJ Morris, Benediction and TAPS. We thanked MAJ (Ret) Virginia Johnson who invited us.
